Pause on the seller selector before the green hose goes into the cart. Flexzilla’s current specification table calls the 100-foot, 5/8-inch SwivelGrip hose HFZG5100YWS. A current Lowe’s offer calls its 100-foot model HFZG5100YWS-E. Meanwhile, the current Window Cleaning Resource page places 5-, 50- and 100-foot choices on one product page with one merchant SKU visible in the captured page.
Those records can all point toward the same product family without being the same order line. Preserve the seller’s full model string, selected length and cart SKU exactly as shown. Then match that line to the current manufacturer part table. Do not decide that a suffix is decorative, or that the displayed merchant SKU covers every selector state, unless the seller or manufacturer says so.
Only after identity is closed should the hose enter the complete water-fed pole system decision. The part number answers which hose is in the cart. The route still has to answer whether that hose reaches, mates, delivers and stores as required.
Freeze the seller selection into a manufacturer part
The current Flexzilla table is unusually useful because it keeps length inside the part number. Every base part below is listed as 5/8-inch inside diameter with 3/4-inch–11 1/2 GHT fittings. The length is not a loose option to remember later; it belongs beside the exact part.
| Published length | Manufacturer base part | Published hose fields | What to retain from the seller |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 ft | HFZG503YWS | 5/8-in. ID; 3/4-in.–11 1/2 GHT | Full seller model, selected 3-ft option, cart SKU and included items |
| 5 ft | HFZG505YWS | 5/8-in. ID; 3/4-in.–11 1/2 GHT | Full seller model, selected 5-ft option, cart SKU and included items |
| 10 ft | HFZG510YWS | 5/8-in. ID; 3/4-in.–11 1/2 GHT | Full seller model, selected 10-ft option, cart SKU and included items |
| 25 ft | HFZG525YWS | 5/8-in. ID; 3/4-in.–11 1/2 GHT | Full seller model, selected 25-ft option, cart SKU and included items |
| 50 ft | HFZG550YWS | 5/8-in. ID; 3/4-in.–11 1/2 GHT | Full seller model, selected 50-ft option, cart SKU and included items |
| 75 ft | HFZG575YWS | 5/8-in. ID; 3/4-in.–11 1/2 GHT | Full seller model, selected 75-ft option, cart SKU and included items |
| 100 ft | HFZG5100YWS | 5/8-in. ID; 3/4-in.–11 1/2 GHT | Full seller model, selected 100-ft option, cart SKU and included items |

The manufacturer page also shows pack variants for some lengths. That is another reason not to reconstruct a model from memory. Copy the complete string from the offer and preserve the base part as a separate field. If the two cannot be reconciled, the product is not yet identified well enough for checkout.
The current Window Cleaning Resource listing supplies useful professional context: it presents the hose as the feed between a tap and a water-fed system and offers 5-, 50- and 100-foot choices. It does not remove the need for a variant-specific receipt. One page title, photo set or displayed SKU is not a substitute for the selected option that will ship.
The swivels solve rotation, not mating
Flexzilla’s current product page describes male and female SwivelGrip connections: the grip and hose rotate independently while the connection is tightened or the hose is uncoiled. It also names 3/4-inch–11 1/2 GHT fittings and a durable O-ring.
That closes a mechanical feature, not the entire water path. The source may have a damaged hose bib, a splitter, a manual valve or another thread. The system inlet may use GHT, an adapter or a quick-connect family. A rotating grip cannot identify the mating plug and socket, choose a seal or turn a seller’s “standard hose” wording into a documented endpoint.
Write the two ends separately: source endpoint → inlet fitting and seal → hose → outlet fitting and seal → adapter or quick-connect pair → exact system inlet. If any face is unnamed, use the garden-hose quick-connect route to close thread, gender, seal, mating family and valve behavior. Keep SwivelGrip in its own field; it earns no compatibility credit beyond what the exact pages publish.
Carry the selected line through pressure and flow
A model label can look complete while leaving the buying question open. Read each published number for the narrow job it actually performs.
| Published line | What it closes | What it cannot prove | Route evidence still required |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100 ft / HFZG5100YWS | Manufacturer base part and nominal hose length | That 100 ft is required, sufficient or manageable on this route | Measured path, obstacles, service slack and storage space |
| 5/8-in. ID | Published inside diameter for the listed part | GPM delivered at the system through the assembled feed | Timed destination flow with actual valves, fittings and demand present |
| 3/4-in.–11 1/2 GHT | Published hose-end thread family and size | That every source, adapter, quick connect and system inlet mates | Both endpoint faces, seals, adapters and mating halves |
| 150 psi at 70°F maximum working pressure | A conditioned maximum for the current hose family | Delivered pressure, pump duty or permission above another component’s limit | Separate pressure reading and the lowest documented component ceiling |
| Male and female SwivelGrip | Both grips are designed to rotate independently of the hose | No-kink field performance, leak-free assembly or reel compatibility | Exact connected route and the chosen carry or storage method |
The 150-psi figure is not a target. It is the manufacturer’s maximum working pressure at the stated 70°F condition. It cannot raise the allowed pressure of a filter head, adapter, valve, quick connect or system inlet. Keep the lowest documented component ceiling active and take unusual temperature or service questions back to the current product owner rather than translating “all-weather flexibility” into a water-use permission.
Flow needs its own record. Time a known-volume fill at the end of the route the system will actually receive, with the intended hose, valves, fittings, reel or splitter and relevant shared water demand in place. The garden-hose GPM guide owns that measurement. Bring its assembled-feed result back here; do not copy its method into a product claim and do not estimate this hose’s delivery from diameter alone.
Give the extra hose somewhere to live
Buying 100 feet “just in case” moves uncertainty from reach into transport and storage. Mark the source, system position, longest obstacle-avoiding path and the service slack the connection actually needs. Then check where the unused length will sit while water is on and how the drained hose will travel between jobs.
A loose feed carried in a bin, a wall hook and a reel-managed line are different storage objects. The current SwivelGrip page explains rotating ends and coiling claims, but the captured manufacturer specification table does not certify every reel, enclosure or vehicle layout. If a reel is part of the plan, record its actual hose type, outside diameter, capacity, inlet/outlet fittings and clearances. The site’s water-fed pole hose reel guide sits on the post-filtration side, so its product choices do not transfer to this feed hose; its useful boundary is that reel capacity belongs to the exact hose assembly, not to length alone.
The honest result may be a shorter SwivelGrip part, two documented hose sections with a compatible joining plan, another hose class or a different storage arrangement. Do not choose among those by brand sentiment. Choose the route that can name every connection, preserve measured delivery and leave the vehicle or work area with a controlled hose path.
Read one hose receipt before checkout
The line should survive after the browser tabs close:
seller + page date / full seller model and SKU / Flexzilla base part / selected length / 5/8-in. ID / male and female 3/4-in.–11 1/2 GHT / source endpoint / system inlet / adapters and quick-connect family / route distance and obstacles / assembled-feed GPM / separate pressure and lowest component ceiling / storage plan
- Keep the exact variant as the candidate when the seller line maps to the manufacturer part and every route field is closed.
- Change length or diameter when the measured route, delivery or storage requirement rejects the selected line.
- Add one documented connection when the hose is suitable but an exact endpoint transition is missing.
- Choose another hose class when the pressure, temperature, connection or storage owner conflicts with the job.
- Hold checkout when a seller suffix, selected SKU, endpoint or assembled-feed result still changes what would arrive or whether it would work.
SwivelGrip can remain a useful feature on that receipt. It just does not get to replace the receipt.
