Coxreels 1125 Hose Reel: Capacity Changes With Hose OD

One current seller offers Coxreels 1125 hose reel choices labeled 100, 200 and 450 feet. Those are three capacity buttons, not three complete manufacturer model numbers. The missing model matters because Coxreels changes hose capacity with both inside and outside diameter, then changes ports, frame width and mounting geometry across the same 1125 family.

The useful comparison begins with the hose that will actually be wound on the reel. Coxreels’ current hand-crank table lists the 1125-4-325 for 325 feet of 1/2-inch-ID, 7/8-inch-OD hose. Its capacity sheet also lists an optional 450-foot arrangement for 3/8-inch-ID, 3/4-inch-OD hose and marks that optional column reducer required. A 450-foot label therefore cannot identify the frame unless the hose dimensions and reducer arrangement travel with it.

The current specialist offer adds another reason to pause: its page describes 5/8-inch-OD hose, 3/8-inch inlet and outlet connections and a 4,000-psi reel while its selector does not expose a matching Coxreels model. Keep those as seller-owned statements. Request the exact manufacturer model, reel label and selected cart line before admitting the reel into the complete water-fed pole system decision.

A 450-foot selector is not a model number

The current Window Cleaning Resource offer is useful evidence for what that merchant is presenting. It is not a crosswalk to the manufacturer’s current hand-crank rows. Preserve the selected option, displayed SKU and any written confirmation without expanding them into fields the page does not show.

The merchant page supplies a candidate; the exact model still owns the specification
Seller-page line What it establishes What remains unresolved Next record to obtain
100 / 200 / 450 Foot Capacity Three current selector states on that offer Manufacturer model, standard or optional capacity, and loaded hose Selected cart line plus exact Coxreels model
5/8-in. hose OD The seller’s stated outside diameter Hose ID, construction, exact length and its manufacturer capacity row Hose specification and reel capacity confirmation for that OD
3/8-in. F NPT inlet / 3/8-in. M NPT outlet The seller’s stated connection faces Which current 1125 configuration owns those faces and whether an adapter is included Model label, both physical faces and included fittings
4,000 PSI A seller-published reel figure Exact configuration, installed hose limit and lowest system-component ceiling Current model/label rating and hose assembly rating

Do not repair this gap by choosing the closest Coxreels row. A seller can offer a configured assembly, use its own capacity convention or carry copy that needs clarification. None of those possibilities authorizes this guide to invent the missing identity. The correct purchase state is REQUEST_EXACT_SELLER_MODEL until one current owner joins the selector to a model and hose.

Hose OD moves the capacity line

Coxreels’ current 1125 hand-crank model page lists every row without hose. The manufacturer’s 1125 capacity sheet supplies the important second view: a smaller hose can have a longer optional capacity on the same model, and that optional column calls for a reducer.

The 1125-4-325 example changes from 325 to 450 feet only when the smaller hose dimensions and reducer condition stay attached to the row.

The model’s final digits are not a promise for every hose. They describe the listed standard row. If the intended hose has another OD, bend behavior, weight per foot or construction, obtain a capacity decision from Coxreels for that hose rather than interpolating between table entries. This matters even when two hoses share the same ID: the drum has to accommodate the outside envelope that is actually wound.

The same series changes ports with frame size

The `-4`, `-5` and `-6` groups are not just length buckets. In the capacity sheet, the selected `-4` rows carry a 1/2-inch F NPT field, the `-5` rows carry 3/4-inch F NPT, and the `-6` rows carry 1-inch F NPT. The optional smaller-hose column says a reducer is required, but it does not select a reducer part, seal or downstream connection for this route.

That job belongs to the exact connection record. Write the supply-side endpoint, flexible inlet, reel swivel inlet, outlet riser, loaded hose ends and downstream adapter as separate faces. If the merchant’s 3/8-inch inlet/outlet statement is part of the candidate, use the garden-hose quick-connect and adapter guide to name thread, gender, seal and mating family after the seller identifies the reel. An adapter does not resolve an unnamed model.

Pressure stays equally local. The current standard hand-crank rows above publish 3,000 psi; the merchant page publishes 4,000 psi for its offer. That is a conflict to resolve against the model plate and current owner, not a reason to average the numbers. Even after it is resolved, reel PSI cannot raise the working limit of the installed hose, inlet whip, adapter, valve or water-fed equipment. The assembled route uses the lowest documented ceiling.

Mount the exact frame, not the catalog family

A capacity choice changes the object that must fit the vehicle, bench or floor. The manufacturer’s current model page gives overall dimensions, mounting pattern and base geometry for each hand-crank row. Three `-4` examples show the width and bolt pattern growing while height and length stay similar.

Current manufacturer geometry for three bare 1125-4 hand-crank reels
Model Overall W × H × L Mounting pattern M × N Base X × Y Ship weight
1125-4-100 19.5 × 18.75 × 17.63 in. 9.44 × 10 in. 11.38 × 15.38 in. 36 lb
1125-4-200 25.5 × 18.75 × 17.63 in. 15.44 × 10 in. 17.38 × 15.38 in. 39 lb
1125-4-325 31.5 × 18.75 × 17.63 in. 21.44 × 10 in. 23.38 × 15.38 in. 48 lb

Those are bare-reel manufacturer fields, not loaded transport weights. Add the exact hose, retained water, fittings, inlet whip and any bracket before assessing the real vehicle load. Measure the planned space with crank sweep, connection access, hose exit and service room included. A frame that physically fits between two objects can still be unusable if the crank, swivel or mounting fasteners cannot be reached.

The current Coxreels installation and maintenance manual keeps installation with qualified personnel, says mounting patterns vary by model and calls for a flexible inlet hose rather than rigid piping that puts side force on the swivel. It also directs the installer to use the proper hose size, length and type, fully extend and charge the hose before the first winding, and inspect the system for leaks. Those are owner instructions for the matching equipment; this page does not convert them into approval of a vehicle structure or fastener plan.

Carry the reel back into the water route

A resolved 1125 model proves that a named reel can hold a documented hose within its published fields. It does not prove that the water-fed system receives adequate flow at the brush. Bring the exact loaded hose, fittings, reel path and operating arrangement to the garden-hose GPM measurement; use its destination result instead of predicting output from ID or PSI.

Keep the two hose layers separate. If the reel will manage post-filtration delivery hose, the water-fed pole hose reel guide owns that assembly boundary. If the reel is proposed for the tap-to-system feed, carry the exact source hose—such as the separately documented Flexzilla SwivelGrip variant—through its own pressure, endpoint and storage record. A useful reel on one side of purification is not automatically the right reel or hose on the other.

The route may also reject excess capacity. A wider frame can consume vehicle access and mounting area; a longer loaded hose adds mass, water retention and rewind work. Conversely, a compact frame that forces an undersized or too-short hose does not earn a place because it is easier to mount. Let the exact route distance, required service slack, measured delivery and controlled storage choose between already documented rows.

The checkout record needs one resolvable line

Save one line that a seller, installer and later operator can all read without reopening the family page:

seller + observation date / selected option + cart SKU / exact Coxreels model and suffix / bare or hose included / hose maker + type + ID + OD + length / standard or optional capacity + named reducer / inlet swivel and outlet riser / every adapter and seal / reel label PSI + hose PSI + lowest route ceiling / overall dimensions + mounting pattern + base / loaded location and support owner / flexible inlet / assembled-route GPM / current manual

  • MODEL_AND_HOSE_MATCH: the seller line, manufacturer row, hose and mounting record name the same configuration.
  • REQUEST_EXACT_SELLER_MODEL: capacity is selectable, but the offer cannot yet be joined to a current manufacturer row.
  • CHANGE_HOSE_OR_FRAME: OD, length, route, vehicle space or loaded handling rejects the candidate.
  • ADD_OWNER_APPROVED_REDUCER_OR_ADAPTER: the model and hose work, but one documented transition is still required.
  • HOLD_CONFLICT_OR_INSTALLATION: the model, rating, dimensions, mount or competent installation owner remains unresolved.

The family name can stay at the top of the receipt. It simply cannot stand in for the line beneath it.
