Two current product pages can send a ProGrip buyer in opposite directions. Home Depot describes the 12-inch model’s rubber as replaceable. J. Racenstein calls the ProGrip blade non-replaceable. Ettore’s own family page promises help with a replacement if the blade causes trouble, but it does not name a user-service part for the exact model in your cart.
That disagreement matters more than another comfort claim. A route tool earns its place by fitting the glass, arriving as the exact item ordered and having a service path you can use later.
The fast answer is to close three things before checkout: the nominal width that suits the recurring panes, the exact selected model, and a current blade answer tied to that model. If pole use is part of the plan, add the exact Ettore REA-C-H connection as a fourth field. “ProGrip” by itself closes none of them.
The ProGrip can still be the right purchase. This page simply refuses to turn seven sizes and mixed service wording into one assumed product.
Seven widths, one selected model
Ettore’s current ProGrip family page lists squeegees in 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18 inches. Those numbers are useful as nominal width choices. They are not seven verified cart records.
The current Ettore product page displays product #60006 while allowing a size selection. Home Depot identifies its 12-inch listing as model 60012. J. Racenstein’s captured page exposes 60016 as an MPN example while also presenting a size selector. Together, those pages show why the family or default number cannot safely stand in for the model you selected.
Preserve the exact identity visible after the size selection—not the number you expect from a pattern.
| Field | What belongs in the record | What does not close it |
|---|---|---|
| Product family | Ettore ProGrip complete squeegee | A picture of a blue-and-black handle |
| Nominal width | The selected 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 or 18-inch option | A width mentioned in a review or related-product card |
| Exact model | The model or MPN shown for that selected cart variant | Product #60006 copied from the unselected family page |
| Source and date | The selected product URL and the date checked | A search-result title with no opened page |
If the cart never reveals a model for the selected width, ask for it. A seller SKU can identify the seller’s inventory, but it does not become an Ettore model unless the listing says so.
This is narrower than the site’s full pane-to-squeegee fit decision. That guide decides among complete squeegee systems. Here, the family is already chosen; the work is to make one ProGrip variant identifiable and maintainable.
Let the route reject a size
Do not begin by deciding that an 18-inch blade must be faster or a 12-inch blade must be more versatile. Begin with the panes this tool is expected to serve repeatedly.
Record the narrowest clear glass span in the important recurring group, plus anything that reduces the stroke lane: a deep stop, projecting handle, divider or frame geometry. Then compare that lane with the complete selected head.
The nominal size on the ProGrip selector is not necessarily the complete assembly’s end-to-end width. The current manufacturer pages reviewed here do not publish assembled outside width for every selected variant. If the fit is close, obtain the real measurement of the complete squeegee rather than subtracting a nominal label from the pane and calling the remainder clearance.
A hypothetical route with 11-inch clear lanes rejects a nominal 12-inch candidate without needing a performance debate. A route whose narrowest important lane is much wider may keep 12, 14 or 16 inches in consideration, but the final choice still needs the exact assembled measurement if hardware at the ends could change fit.
The route is allowed to leave two candidates alive. It is not allowed to turn an unknown assembly width into a confident choice. If the recurring panes require a different complete system, return to the broader squeegee decision instead of forcing the ProGrip family to fit.
Build a receipt the next buyer can read
A useful purchase record should let someone reorder the tool—or reject the reorder—without recognizing it from a photo.
| Receipt field | Entry for the selected ProGrip | Evidence that closes it | If open |
|---|---|---|---|
| Route constraint | Narrowest recurring clear pane and the obstruction that sets it | Site measurement in one consistent unit | Measure the route |
| Nominal size | One selected current ProGrip width | Ettore’s current family selector | Keep as a candidate only |
| Exact cart model | Manufacturer model or MPN for that selected width | Current selected product page or written seller/manufacturer answer | Hold selected model |
| Assembled outside width | End-to-end size of the complete selected tool | Manufacturer/seller dimension or measurement of the exact assembly | Measure before close-fit use |
| Included object | Complete handle, channel and blade shown for the selected listing | Current exact listing | Do not infer a replacement channel |
| Intended role | Hand use, or exact named Ettore pole branch | The actual job record plus current interface evidence | Keep pole use out of the order |
| Pole interface | ProGrip handle to selected Ettore REA-C-H click-lock tip | Current pages tied to both selected parts | Close the interface separately |
| Blade wording | The statements found for the exact model or family | Opened current sources, with conflicts preserved | Do not choose the convenient sentence |
| Blade service path | Exact replacement part and method, or Ettore’s written support route | Current manufacturer confirmation for the selected model | Confirm or choose an alternative |
| Disposition | One of the five results below | Every field needed for that result agrees | Use a hold, not “probably” |
Use EXACT_VARIANT_READY only when the selected model is explicit, the complete assembly fits the route, the intended hand or named pole role is closed and the blade path is documented. Use MEASURE_ASSEMBLED_WIDTH when the only missing fact is physical clearance. Use CONFIRM_BLADE_SERVICE_PATH when the product fits but maintenance is unresolved. Use CHOOSE_SERVICEABLE_ALTERNATIVE when a future blade or support route matters to the business and Ettore cannot close it. Use HOLD_SELECTED_MODEL_OR_INTERFACE when the cart identity or pole branch is still vague.
The receipt belongs inside the complete professional tool stack. That stack owns whether the route needs a traditional squeegee at all. This record owns one exact ProGrip line after that need exists.

“Lifetime” does not settle the replacement question
Ettore’s current ProGrip page calls the supplied blade silicone rubber. The family page uses “lifetime” language and tells customers to contact the company if the blade causes trouble. That is a support promise. It is not a measured replacement interval, a promise that the edge will never change on a commercial route, or an exact replacement SKU.
The live supporting pages leave three different impressions:
| Current source | What it says | What it can support |
|---|---|---|
| Ettore ProGrip family page | Contact Ettore if there is an issue and the company will send a replacement | A manufacturer support route exists at family level; exact selected-model part and process still need confirmation |
| Home Depot model 60012 | Lists a replaceable rubber blade | The retailer currently makes that claim for 60012; it does not name a compatible replacement part |
| J. Racenstein ProGrip listing | Describes the silicone blade as non-replaceable | A current specialist listing conflicts with the retailer; it does not override Ettore for every model |
Ettore also sells World Famous Master Rubber, whose page broadly says it fits Ettore squeegee channels. Do not silently add a same-length strip to the ProGrip receipt while the current ProGrip service evidence conflicts. Ask Ettore whether the exact selected model accepts that exact rubber and what retains it. If the answer supplies a profile, cut, length, clip or channel rule, continue through the site’s squeegee rubber replacement record.
This does not prove the ProGrip cannot be serviced. It proves the captured public pages do not yet support one clean answer for the selected cart. Preserving that distinction is what keeps a future parts problem from being hidden by the word “lifetime.”
Keep the pole claim inside Ettore’s named system
The current ProGrip product page says the squeegee is compatible with Ettore extension poles. Ettore’s REA-C-H page describes a click-lock tip for compatible Ettore tools. Together, those statements support a same-system branch: exact ProGrip handle, exact REA-C-H pole or tip, current click-lock documentation.
They do not prove that another pole’s cone, thread, friction tip or adapter retains the handle. They also do not turn a pole product claim into authorization for a particular high window, work position or access method.
If hand use is the only intended role, write HAND USE and leave the pole branch out of the cart. If pole use matters, take the exact ProGrip model and selected pole variant through the traditional extension-pole connection record. That page owns tip, adapter, lock, length and serviceability. The ProGrip receipt needs only the resulting documented interface.
Pairing this squeegee with a washer is another separate line. The current Ettore Mighty washer guide binds its own assembly and replacement sleeve SKUs. Matching brand colors or nominal widths does not turn the two tools into one service family.
Ask Ettore one question that can close the cart
Send a question that is specific enough to answer without a photograph:
I am considering the Ettore ProGrip [nominal width] shown as model or MPN [exact cart identifier] at [URL]. Is its silicone blade user-replaceable? If yes, which current replacement rubber and retaining parts fit this exact model, and what current instruction applies? If not, what support or whole-tool replacement path applies? I also intend [hand use / exact REA-C-H pole and tip]; please confirm that interface for these item numbers.
An answer that identifies the model and exact current path can be attached to the receipt. A family-level “fits Ettore,” an unnamed replacement, or a reply that addresses a different ProGrip width leaves CONFIRM_BLADE_SERVICE_PATH in place.
Keep the product when one exact variant fits the measured route and the answer gives the maintenance path your business requires. Remove it from the cart when serviceability is important and remains unknowable. The purpose of the record is not to make ProGrip win; it is to make the purchase reproducible after the first edge problem, staff change or reorder.
